PRO TENNIS TOUR 2 - UBI Soft - £25.99
Pro Tennis Tour was the greatest tennis game I'd ever seen and
can be still bought for a bout £6.99, which is good value, the
grafix were good, the gameplay was excellent and overall I
thought it was superb.
Loading up, you are presented with a main menu, from which you
can select some of the following:
COURTS:Select the surface you play on, either grass, indoor and
slow courts like clay courts.
CHAMPIONSHIP:You start off as an amateur and progress through the
ranks to a professional to try and win the cup.
To control you male or female character, you can let the computer
control the manoeuvres while you concentrate on the shots,or you
can do both, but this takes a bit of practice.
Lobs can be made by pulling back, drives can be achieved by
pushing up with the direction of the required drive.
In a two player game you can either play as a team or against
each other.
During the game you are given information to help you like,
fitness, both yours and your opponents. The better you play the
better your chances are to winning the cup.
The different surfaces create havoc as you have to adapt to the
different speeds of each court.
PRACTICE:You can practice on a certain court by yourself, (well
not quite), with a automatic ball machine, you can practice all
you lobs and drives and smashes.
During games you can call on the diary event, which you fill in
the required games you'd like to play, different events have
different prize money.
